A new play by award-winning writer lan Townsend, My Favourite Place in the Whole Wide World tells the stories of J and Ruth, two people growing up, the events that shape them, and the loneliness and guilt they struggle to contain Shot through with humour, it's an engaging and heartfelt play about making mistakes and living with the consequences, about loss and purpose, selfworth and identity, unlooked for connections and unexpected friendships, and climbing trees. When longlisted for the Royal Exchange/Bruntwood Playwriting Competition, this was described as "incredibly charming, full of heart and wit, and with two magnetic characters".
